The Yankee Classic DanceSport Championships is truly
an international event, attracting dances from across
the globe.
In pro-amateur events we have hosted couples from Taiwan,
Hong Kong, Japan, and Canada as well as from every state
in the USA. Competing couples - both amateur and professional,
have traveled from as far as Japan, Italy, Belgium,
South Africa, Germany, Denmark, Australia, England,
Ireland, Hungary, Spain, Russia and Slovenia, to dance
at Yankee, and we have featured a myriad of World Champions

have won these highly coveted Championship titles. The

The
Florida State DanceSport Championships
in Sarasota, FL

The Florida State DanceSport Championships is the final
leg of the DanceSport Triple Crown. Because of its prestige
and the large purse it attracts top-quality dancers
from around the world. The three Triple Crown events
award about a quarter-million dollars in cash and scholarships.
The daytimes are devoted to amateur and pro-am competitions,
in which students dance with their teachers.
Professionals in several styles take the floor in the
evenings. The winners in different categories compete
for an overall championship.
