Gocha Chertkoev
Gocha is internationally known for his
moves and his attitude. His distinctive
accent is a souvenir he brought over with
him from the former Soviet Republic of
Georgia. Gocha is a master of Latin dance
and has the resume to prove it. He and
his partner Shorena are a formidable pair,
together they've won some of the biggest
Latin Dance competitions in the nation:
the Southwestern U.S. Invitational, the
Florida State Championships, the Hawaii
Star Ball and the Manhattan Dance Championships.
His competition success laid the ground-work
for his highly successful coaching practice
in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Gocha molds
dancers from all skill levels and and
from all over the U.S. in all aspects
of ballroom, from exercise and choreography
right down to the proper use of sequins
in a ballroom gown. Ballroom Bootcamp
isn't Gocha's first Television appearance.
He and Shorena have been featured five
times on the PBS television program Championship
Ballroom Dancing. The two also represented
the United States at the World Professional

Christian Perry
Oh, yes. You've
seen this guy before. But you may not
remember his face because you were too
busy watching his feet burn a hole in
the floor in a series of wildly popular
GAP commercials that he choreographed
and starred in. Many credit those commercials
with helping fuel the resurgence of swing.
You've seen him on the small screen but
he's also appeared on the big screen in
the films Mona Lisa Smile and Be Cool.
When he's not appearing in commercials
and music videos, he's choreographing
moves for Will Smith, Vanessa Williams'
tours. For over 10 years Christian has
competed and taught ballroom dance. After
studying and competing at the Arthur Murray
Dance Studio in Los Angles, Christian
moved to England to compete in the worldwide
circuit. Christian now travels the country
coaching professional ballroom dancers.
One of Christians highest honors was lecturing
at the World Social Dance Congress in
Moscow and again at the World Social Dance
Congress in Black Pool. The dance competition
is the most prestigious in the world.
